ATTENDANCE:
Attendance is a MUST! Missing class not only puts you but your entire team behind. Each Performance Company Dancer is allowed only 3 unexcused absences. Excused absences are as follows: sickness, sickness or death in the family or anything prearranged and approved by Amy.
DATES WE ARE CLOSED:
Thanksgiving Break - November 25 - 27
Christmas Break - December 21 - January 1
Spring Break - March 29 - April 2
*In the event of inclement weather, please call the studio to see if we will be open or you may check out our website at www.centerstagedancecompany.net and it will be posted!
RESPECT:
Each Performance Dancer is expected to treat their fellow teammates with respect. This means not talking bad about or excluding any other dancer! We are here to dance as a team! There will be no tolerance for bad mouthing your teachers or fellow students!! Also, you are expected to treat your teachers with respect. This means doing what you are told to do when you are told to do it. Show ALL TEACHERS the utmost respect at ALL TIMES!!!
DRESS CODE:
- Hair must be pulled back and away from the face.
- Shorts may be worn but you MUST wear tights underneath.
- NO BLUE JEANS OR JEAN SHORTS!!!
- Do not wear school clothes to dance in unless they are stretchable!
- Any dance or athletic apparel
- Lyrical/Ballet Company Members must wear leotard and tights, you may also wear ballet shorts.
- Jazz shoes need to be worn for Jazz class, Dance Paws must be worn for contemporary and sneakers for hip-hop.
COME TO CLASS PREPARED:
You are expected to come to class prepared. This means coming to class with the proper clothing and shoes for that class. You will not be allowed to dance if you do not have your shoes for your class. You will get 3 warnings and notes sent home to your parents before you are dismissed from your team.
BE IN CLASS ON TIME:
We do not need any interruptions during class time so please be on time.
TUITION:
- Tuition is due by the 10th of the month.
- If a student misses a class FULL TUITION is still expected.
- Tuition remains the same whether it is a 3 week month or a 5 week month (full tuition is due for the month of December).
- A $20.00 late fee will apply to all accounts after the 10th of the month. Once your account is 2 months past due, a letter will be sent home and your child will not be allowed to return to class until the total amount due is paid in full.
RETURNED CHECK FEE:
There will be a $30.00 return check fee.
NO STUDENTS ALONE OUTSIDE:
If you are not here when your child's class is dismissed, please have them wait on you in the lobby. This is for safety reasons.
NO FOOD, DRINKS OR GUM:
There can no longer be any food or drinks other than water in the dance area. You can eat in the kitchen between classes. This applies to teachers, students, parents and siblings. Please help us keep our new studio clean.
NO GUM IN THE STUDIO PLEASE!!!!
COMPETITIONS FOR 2009 - 2010
We will be attending 3 competitions this year. Attendance at competitions is MANDATORY. The same rules for class attendance will apply for competitions. It is very important for everyone to attend all competitions since all dances are learned as a team and when someone is missing it is very obvious to the judges that there is an empty space. The dates for these competitions have not been decided except for Showstoppers in May. I am currently looking for competitions in this area. The past competitions we have attended are not coming through the Greenville-Spartanburg area this year. Therefore, I am having to search for new ones or we may have to attend a competition in NC.
COMPETITION FEES:
Competition fees must be paid before you can compete at the 3 competitions. Competition fees usually range around $35.00 per dance for each competition. Some are a little more, some are less. All competition fees are due by FEBRUARY 10, 2010. More information will be available as soon as possible on the exact fees for these competitions. I WILL NOT send anyone's name in to the competition, if they have not paid their entry fee! I will only send in entry fees if I have them in my hands! There will be no exceptions!!!
WITHDRAWAL NOTICE:
If for any reason you need to withdraw from a team please send in a withdrawal notice. This way we will not be holding your spot on your team, if you are not coming back.
COSTUMES:
Competition costumes will be ordered by the first of November. You will receive notice as soon as possible as to how much the costumes are and when the money is due. Full payment must be received before we can order your child's costume.
MONTHLY NEWSLETTERS:
Please watch for monthly newsletters, as it will supply you with important information.
WEBSITE AND MYSPACE:

COMPANY UNIFORMS:
We will be wearing the same company uniforms as last year. (black w/ Zebra print) We will be ordering various company t-shirts, pants, etc. So watch for the order forms.
